Neck pain/shoulder pain (adult)

"The neck hurts", "The nape hurts", "The neck does not rotate", "The neck and shoulders are very stiff and tense", etc.

Pain occurs only when the neck moves
Hard lumps can be felt in the neck and shoulders
Fever present (38°C or higher)
Immediately after experiencing an injury
There are no other problem areas, and pain in the neck and shoulders can be tolerated, but can interfere with normal living (such as inability to sleep)
There is numbness and a feeling of lack of strength in the hands and arms
The neck and shoulders may be swollen, reddish, hot, or feverish
None of the above are applicable.
