Palpitations/pounding heart (adult)

"Heart is pounding", "Palpitations occur", "Pulse is fast", "Pulse skips", etc.

Has previously been treated for abnormal pulse (e.g., arrhythmia, pulse skipping, disturbed pulse rhythm)
Fever present (38°C or higher)
Was recently prescribed new asthma medication or the dose of the original medication was increased.
Has recently taken any of the following: diuretic, diet drug, coagulant, cold medication)
Has taken an excessive amount of caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, or herbal stimulant
Exercised within the past 30 minutes
Has insomnia and feels fatigued. Or stress has increased recently
None of the above are applicable.
